Here are the full details for our Pilochry Weekend Ride-out.
Our main base for exploring the Scottish Highlands this weekend is the Acarsaid Hotel and Lodge (tel 0845 263 6855), nestled in the centre of Pitlochry, Scotland. This allows us easy access to all local facilites.
We have a deal on rooms at the hotel: £49 pounds per person per night, which includes full Scottish breakfast.
There are 18 double rooms available, please quote “Appy Wanderers” when booking to ensure you get our deal price,
(tel 0845 263 6855) – yes, you are booking direct with the hotel!
Check out the hotel website for directions and further details.
There are also static caravans available and motor-home parking is half a mile away at the Faskelly Caravan Park.
Contact Alister on 01796 472007, visit their website for further details, should you prefer to stay here?
All rideouts will leave from the hotel on a morning as this was the prefered base by most of our members.
Brief itinary for the weekend is:
Meet in the bar from 4.30pm on Friday 28th, the evening is your own.
Saturday 29th, ride-out to visit the great Lochs, including Loch Ness, Fort Augustus etc. This is a full days ride-out, the evening is your own. We will even have our own scaly monster riding with us (sorry Dave).
Sunday 30th, ride-out to one of the local attractions, maybe even a bit of whisky ‘tasting’. Sunday evening, a group evening meal will be organised, should everyone be agreeable with this.
Monday 31st, breakfast and farewells, as we head for home.
Hurry now and book your accomodation if you wish to join us!

BOOKED!! This will be my first outing with your group since purcahsing my wing from Barry in October last year, and can’t wait!
My mum is from Perth (just down the road from Pitlochry), and so I know the area fairly well, having visited many times to visit our relatives for summer holidays and the like.
May also try and get up for a day ride out if possible! But it’s a long way from the Isle of Wight…….

Many thanks for organising a great trip around beautiful Scotland, including the bits I did by myself when I went the wrong way……Thanks Dave, for coming looking for me!
It was good to meet a great bunch of folks, and being a new boy to the bike, I’ll certainly remember the various tips on riding from Derek and others I received.
See you all soon!

Barry/Dave & the girls,
This was our first outing with you all and it was fantastic.
I know it will not be the last. The weekend ride outs were just to die for, picked up a good few riding tips, and I think my riding is much better for it,can only thank everyone for the help and tips.
They way we were made part of the group was great,I would reccommend any body who hasn’t been on an outing with the Wanderers to do so,such a friendly bunch of lads and lassies.
The way you organised the run outs was brill, never getting split up or getting lost, and at a speed that suited the whole group, very professional I must say.
The roads around Pitlochry were just made for bikers, and the scenery is one of the finest in Scotland, and with the weather being so kind to us,what more do you want.Roll on the next outing!!
I must once again thank you all,I also appreciate that a lot of hard work and time goes into planning and organising these weekends, your hard work and effort made this weekend a fantastic one for all of us,and we have also made a new bunch of friends, which would not have been possible without you.
Many thanks to Barry,Dave the girls and all who helped.
Hope to see some of you soon, take care ride safe.
Pat & Garry
